Multicultural Festival in Brockville

It was a beautiful and bright Saturday morning and the school was full of excitement and nervous energy as students were busy putting their finishing touches on their posters for the Multicultural Festival international student project competition. Many of the participating students were dressed wonderfully in their traditional dresses and some even made food and treats from their home country.

There were a number of other competing international students from various schools from the area. Our students had a great time looking at the other projects and talking with the other students. Many were anxious for their presentations but all put in a good effort. Grace Fu, one of our Taiwanese students made it to the final round and finished in 3rd place with a bursary prize! All our students were very supportive and happy for her success!

In addition to the student competition, students were able to explore the other vendors offering food, arts and crafts, and other products from a variety of countries. There was live entertainment on the main stage and some of our students enjoyed watching a street performer who was a skilled juggler and fire eater.

It was a fun day for the students to celebrate their origins and enjoy the splendors of other cultures!
